Meaning, Metaphor, and Myth:
Klecksography by Hans Guggenheim
Join us as we explore how we connect to and interpret images.

From the German word for ink blots, Klecksography explores the art of making images from inkblots.  This intriguing form of art making involves not only the artist, but the viewer. This exhibit will provide an opportunity for visitors and student groups to study and respond to the images, drawing on philosophical, psychological, and cultural influences.

In his presentation, artist, illustrator, anthropologist and scholar, Hans Guggenheim will share a series of "Klecksographs" he has created, inviting viewers to find characters, shapes, and meaning within the artworks.

Refreshments will be served
